When the mind is left to idle and think endless thoughts on its own this leaves you susceptible to worry and anxiety.
The mind wants to keep in motion or else it fears its own nonexistence. The mind can only survive as long as it is constantly validating itself with thoughts, stories, planning, going over memories, and imagining what the future will hold. While some of these thoughts may be perceived as pleasant, they are actually a worry and anxiety trap.
This is a reoccurring daily pattern that most people go through. It’s a never-ending cycle and loop until you stop it yourself. You’re thinking mind will not stop on its own. You must be the one to control it. Either you guide it directly on what to think, or you allow it the space to stop completely on its own using the practice of meditation.
The process of controlling your thinking mind takes practice and a lot of practice. This is not something that is done overnight. The thinking mind is the ego and the ego has no intention of giving up its self validations. It feeds off of them, because feeding off of them is it’s only way it can exist.
Worry and anxiety are the easiest go to’s the mind likes to use to validate itself. But because these are the easiest patterns the mind prefers to take you to, then this means they are the easiest for you to recognize and point out as well.
You can learn to be the awareness of these patterns before the thinking mind has a chance to root these patterns permanently within you. Nothing is actually permanent, but the thinking mind can convince you that some things are permanent, and most harmfully it can convince you that you’re negative thought patterns are going to be permanent.
Right now your mind may seem to have control over you, but you can learn to control it through your growing awareness. Awareness is what you are and reclaiming awareness of what you are will set you free from any illusion that appears to bind you.
You are only bound to what you allow to confine you. Break through the trap of the self created thinking mind and rise above it to your true observer self. You are the observer. The creator. Awareness of awareness itself, and you control your own existence.
Go above the mind. Above worry and anxiety. Above thinking, stories, and validations.
You are above it all. You create it all.
